js-mfp-iframe\">看天田</a>旱作為主。大圳落成後才開始種植水稻,不過因為位於水圳尾端,用水仍相對不便,因此雜糧還是扮演了重要角色。今日,五塊村採水稻和雜糧並作的耕種型態,並以耐瘠、耐旱的作物為主。其中,水稻產量最高,花生次之。其他作物,尚有甘蔗、蒜頭、花卉和聖女小番茄等。<br><br>雖然嘉南大圳改善了嘉南平原的用水窘境,但大圳對農民是不是百益而無一害呢?我們在蔡秋桐的作品中,可以發現故事似乎沒有美好。<br><br><br>", "<div><span>1920年,為了改善嘉南平原的缺水情形,總督府開始以半官半民形式興建嘉南大圳,該大圳取用濁水溪、曾文溪水源,灌溉了嘉南平原境內十五萬甲的田野。大圳於1930年竣工後,確實讓嘉南平原水田面積大為成長,耕地收益也頗有增加。為了宣傳大圳的益處,台南州州廳還拍攝宣傳電影〈幸福的農民〉,藉著劇情對比,灌輸農民只要配合建設大圳及施行官方提倡的耕作方式,就能過上「幸福」生活的觀念。<br><br>然而,嘉南大圳遠非〈幸福的農民〉宣稱的裨益農民。在大圳興建期間,徵收土地造成沿線居民流離失所;大圳落成後,<a
