"desc": "<span>然而由於早期河川頻繁改道以及颱風洪水等災害的影響，這裡的氾濫洪患不曾間斷過。<br><br>其中，海豐堡街因1750年乾隆年間虎尾溪氾濫而被沖毀，街肆與<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https://rural.openmuseum.tw/embed/remark/1193\" class=\"lightbox-link js-mfp-iframe\">拱範宮</a>移至今日麥寮街上。而舊址如今僅留下拱範宮的開山媽祖石碑。<br><br>至於較內陸的東半村部分居民於今日楊厝寮繼續開墾。然1898年的戊戌水災導致許多居民遷出，一度只剩下四戶人家。<br><br>歷經多次的洪患，當時海豐村境內幾乎均呈人跡罕至的荒地狀態。<br><br>-----------------------------------------------------<br>延伸閱讀：</span><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https://event.taiwangods.com/html/Cultural/3_0011.aspx?i=24\">拱範宮</a>於清康熙二十四年（1685年）由湄洲純真老禪師自湄洲廟（朝天閣）迎來正六媽神像，從海豐港登陸至臺，故恭祀於「海豐港街」。後因洪水沖毀，遷至現址。",

"title": "濁水溪與堤防",
"desc": "海豐村發展的轉捩點在於1920年濁水溪堤防落成。日人將主流河道收束在西螺溪出海，並截斷南岸新虎尾溪的水源，早期導致散庄的洪患不再發生，濁水溪南岸與新虎尾溪兩側的浮覆地也逐漸出現。<br><br>廣大的新土地吸引許多外來人口<span>遷入定居，從事農耕、放牧、海邊捕撈。除了楊厝寮自清朝延續至今，村內其他聚落均為日治中期以降才形成的雜姓移居社會。海豐村可說是相當「年輕」的村落，居民組成也非常多元。<br></span><span><br>浮覆地的出現海豐村有了再次發展的機會，然而風頭水尾的自然環境對於農民而言依然充滿挑戰。<div><br><span>堤防落成後，洪患帶來的威脅降低許多，但由於早期的河堤材質並非混凝土而是泥土，強度與高度都難以應付新虎尾溪暴漲時的溪水，以致西半村仍是水患頻繁。<br><br>西半村的水患在1994年至1998年修整海豐村南側新虎尾溪河堤，改用混凝土並增加堤防強度與高度；又在2010年中期興建抽水站後，才得到趨緩。<br><br>----------------------------------------------------<br>註：「浮覆地」指原為陸地，河川改道後成為河道，河川再改道後又浮出水面之陸地。</span></div></span>",

"desc": "<span>早期居民習慣在自家後院圈養三五頭豬隻作為農家副業。1970年代政府積極推動綜合經營政策，雖因豬舍設計失當、成豬價格不如預期而導致輔導戶逐漸退出計畫，但綜合經營政策大幅改變了養豬產業的樣貌。豬隻品種從台灣黑豬改為國外引進的LYD混種白豬，飼料從廚餘改為科學調配之完全飼料，運銷管道也從傳統豬販改為合作社共同運銷。自此，養豬從農家副業逐漸轉變為專業化、規模化、商業化的經營模式，間接帶動許多鄉民投入，奠定了麥寮鄉畜牧業的基礎，更長年蟬聯全台灣豬隻畜養數最多的鄉鎮。<br><br>然而，1997年口蹄疫疫情重創養豬業，過半豬隻遭受撲殺，導致規模較小的養豬戶近乎全數退場。但隨著養豬利潤、豬隻品種均漸趨穩定，投入養豬者又慢慢增多。再加上環保法規漸趨嚴格，設備技術也不斷更新，唯有投入巨額資本進行企業化經營的業者得以生存。目前麥寮鄉養豬頭數已爬升回35萬頭左右。畜養達上萬頭的養豬戶已多於十場，其中海豐村養豬場約有三、四十家。</span><br>",

"desc": "<span><b>東半村</b><br>海豐村於清代康熙年間已開庄聚墾，但後續因颱風侵襲與濁⽔溪頻繁改道導致多次洪⽔而散庄，只留下四姓人家於楊厝寮持續耕作，多數地區直⾄⽇治時期1920年代左右濁⽔溪堤防完⼯，浮覆地出現後，才逐漸有外地⼈遷入種植旱作為主，如花生、甘薯。<br><br></span>1960年代末，政府引入蘆筍種植，因收成好，外銷獲利佳，東半村大舉轉種蘆筍，並在1970、80年代達到最高峰。但好景不常，1986年的韋恩颱風將田地悉數傾毀，再加上外銷市場遭到鄰國取代，農會與廠商停止收購；且蘆筍勞力耗損高，當時青壯年人口已大量外流，留守的老人無力負擔，導致蘆筍產業一落千丈，逐漸淡出海豐村。<span><br><br></span>目前楊厝寮僅剩五到十戶仍維持耕種，絕多數田地均呈現休耕荒廢狀態，或改種太陽麻、玉米、沙菁仔等作物，以領取政府的轉作補助。<span><br><br><b>⻄半村</b><br>早期農耕以稻米、⽢蔗、⽢藷為主。但因環境條件惡劣，為了增加產量與收入，居⺠不斷嘗試耕植各種作物，⻄半村農業種類呈現多元分佈，後有薄荷、棉花、花生等作物加入。<br><br>然而，農業收成依舊不佳，到了1970年以後，西半村開始有養殖漁業，今已是西半村重要的產業。</span>",

"desc": "<span>推動「抗貧農業更新農漁牧綜合經營實驗計劃」的同時，魚塭並非政策推動重點，因此並非每一戶均有魚塭，養殖以吳郭魚為主。<br><br>除了吳郭魚，1970年代中後期也開始盛行養蜆， 養蜆不怕颱風與強風，所以損失少，利潤又高，越來越多農民投入養殖。<br><br>除了蜆類，文蛤產業也於此時萌芽。<br><br>1971年政府在海豐村⻄側興建海堤，沿海荒地逐漸固定。因打開⽔⾨即可直接引入海⽔，吸引台⻄鄉⺠跨過新虎尾溪⾄此，與海豐村⺠合作養殖文蛤。但事實上當時政府並不欲引入鹹水，而是希望進行鹽分改良以減緩土地過鹹之問題。<br><br>蜆類風潮持續約十年後，因1986年韋恩颱風後海水倒灌，再加上地層持續下陷，水質鹹度不斷提高。雖然鹹水不會對蜆類肉質產生影響，但會讓外殼顏色變灰，外型不佳，導致市場反應變差。韋恩颱風後數年間，漁民紛紛改變養殖種類，目前西半村清一色皆以鹹水養殖文蛤為主。<br><br>可以說因著興建海堤而打開了養殖文蛤的契機，但養殖漁業的發展卻是因為天災與農民的摸索而興盛。</span>",

"desc": "<span>進入六輕工作的居民可分為台塑正式員工與工程外包商員工兩類（註1）。外包廠商的進駐係因六輕為了降低成本，將其非核心業務發包，因而吸引了許多承包商進駐（註2）。<br></span><span><br>六輕正式的員工加上這些承包商共約有二至三萬名工人，這麼龐大的就業人口<span>也促使了許多周邊生活與娛樂產業的發展。村民在聯外道路上開設釣蝦場、檳榔攤與小吃部等等，供上下班的員工消費。<br>------------------------------------------<br></span></span><span>註1：台塑正式員工約一萬三千多名，麥寮鄉居民共有一千兩百多位，佔約9％。<br>註2：海豐村內相關企業共有20家，幾乎都是外地人前來開設，僅有3家為村民所經營。不過外包商工人共計兩三萬人之眾，設籍麥寮者高達六成以上。雖無正式統計資料，海豐村亦有許多居民為包商工人。</span><br>",
