水井村，係位於雲林縣口湖鄉沿海地帶的村庄，為名符其實「風頭水尾」之地，不僅農業生產相當困難，又時常面臨自然災害帶來的威脅。在如此艱困的環境下，水井人是如何生存的呢？

"desc": "水井村位於北港溪尾端，西臨臺灣海峽（距海3.5公里），地形平坦，村之東西兩側皆有許多池沼。據《臺灣地名辭書（卷九）雲林縣》記載「水井」名稱由來：「康熙年間葉姓先民入墾，為此處得以挖井取得淡水，因此逐漸聚集成村，故稱水井」。",

"desc": "口湖一帶，地勢平坦無山可阻擋，加上地勢低窪、及地層下陷嚴重而排水不易，一旦遇颱風暴雨或週期性雨季易形成災情： <br> <br>清道光25年（1845）六七水災，颱風自西南捲向東北，口湖地區因無地形掩護，致兩千三百餘人罹難。<br> <br>日治大正12年（1923）9月下旬、昭和10年（1935）7月下旬遭受暴風雨侵襲。 <br> <br>1967年解拉颱風來襲，引發海水倒灌，水井村多處農田被淹沒。 <br> <br>1986年8月韋恩颱風肆虐，口湖臺子村和水井村等地因海水倒灌，五百餘人為水所困。",

"desc": "水井人為什麼都出去賺食呢？主要原因有三個：<br> <br><b>一、可耕地不足</b>。位於嘉南大圳的水尾區，加上三年輪灌限制，水井仍有部分農地因土地鹽分高而無法耕作，無法以農業維生的村民需另謀出路。<br> <br><b>二、鑿井換現金。</b>有水井村民回憶其父外出鑿井返家後的情況：「印象裡面每次鑿井成功，都拿布袋裝錢回來。」鑿井成為村民收入的重要補充來源。最盛時期，全村有近八成村民參與鑿井工作，鑿井足跡亦遍布全臺。<br> <br><b>三、水井村民代代相傳的鑿井技術</b>。",

"desc": "鑿井時約有五位工人在「井架」上，兩側站兩人，正後方坐一人，以控制架在井架上的「轉輪」之轉動方向。因而井架必須堅固牢靠，以粗繩固定（過去用草繩，拉緊固定時會用一根竹管絞緊）。\n\n \n\n<br><span> <br>站柱：與地表垂直，支撐車體與鑿井工人重量。過去以堅硬的木材為站柱，前後只需四根。今難買到合適木材，故以竹管代之。<span><br> <br>\n</span></span>\n\n<span>橫栱：與地表平行，共有六根。為左右兩側四位鑿井工人站立（或坐）之處。<span><br> <br>\n</span></span>\n\n<span>扶栱：為鑿井工人手扶之處。<span><br> <br>\n</span></span>\n\n坐栱：上方置放「車尾版」，為車體正後方的鑿井工人所坐之處。",

"desc": "「轉輪」架於井架中央，高約兩公尺。轉輪上繞著竹片長索，並運用槓桿原理放大人力，提升人工鑿井的效率。井架上的工人以腳踩轉輪，帶動前方鐵管向上提起，再放開轉輪使鐵管重砸地面，如此上上下下便能鑿穿厚實土層。",

"desc": "竹片長索前方連接的是「鑿管」，材質多為高純度的鐵製品，藉以突破堅硬厚實的土層。鑿管底下有一活門，內部中空，下鑿時鑿管內吃入土壤，積累到一定程度後就要拉出鑿管將土壤倒出。鑿井團隊的師傅站在井架前方，手扶鑿管，指揮工人轉動轉輪，並判斷拉出鑿管的時機。他也要負責觀察倒出的土壤之顏色與質地，藉以判斷地底下的土層與水層。\n\n \n\n<br><span> <br>柴井車鑿井的同時，另一邊有製作井管的師傳，將竹子烘直、竹節打通，鑽上入水孔並包好棕鬚。確定鑿到水層後，將這些竹管依序連接並放入地面的鑿孔中，「竹管井」就大功告成。</span>",

"desc": "戰後初期，臺糖公司的美援鑿井設備促進了民間以機械鑿井的風潮。水井村機械井業者表示，村裡的鑿井業者在屏東接觸到製作鑿井機的鐵工廠，也在1950、60年代後與時俱進開始機械化，柴井車技術逐漸失傳。 <br> <br>機械化鑿井與傳統技藝的最大差異在於人力。以柴井車來說，通常一個工地需14位工人、2位師傅，採兩班制輪流操作；機械鑿井則只需4位，2人一組輪班，有兩班制或三班制。當然，兩者鑿出的井深也完全不同級別。",

"desc": "本地早在清代就已經有魚塭的開鑿與買賣，然因風水災多，經營風險並不低。戰後，政府於1971年在水井村規劃成立「農漁牧綜合經濟區」，協助拉設水電、舖設道路等，並補助興建豬舍與魚塭的費用，養豬與水產養殖繼鑿井業後成為水井村民賴以為生的經濟活動。尤其1990年代口蹄疫爆發後，養豬戶大多退場，水產養殖業更甚，點點魚塭形成了本村的獨特景觀。",

"desc": "水井村有一「陳留衍派」之百年古厝，當地村民指出該棟古厝原為姓陳的人士所有，後來因故過戶予姓謝的人士。古厝門面曾在1953年春重新繪畫，當時係由朴子畫師陳長庚先生所繪。目前雖然已經褪色，仍可約略看出當年的華麗景象。",

"desc": "1970年代水井農漁牧綜合經營區設立後，政府補助當地建造豬寮與魚塭，很多水井村民轉行養豬，全盛時期幾乎家家戶戶都有豬舍。1997年口蹄疫爆發，造成養豬戶損失慘重，政府又推出離牧離籠政策補助，村民紛紛停養，現水井村僅4、5戶養豬。",

"desc": "本地早在清代就已經有魚塭的開鑿與買賣，然因風水災多，經營風險並不低。戰後，政府於1971年在水井村規劃成立「農漁牧綜合經濟區」，協助拉設水電、舖設道路等，並補助興建豬舍與魚塭的費用，養豬與水產養殖繼鑿井業後成為水井村民賴以為生的經濟活動。尤其1990年代口蹄疫爆發後，養豬戶大多退場，水產養殖業更甚，點點魚塭形成了本村的獨特景觀。",
